Her acting career should have peaked
In receiving an Academy Award
But the moment ended up falling flat
How her rivals must have guffawed

So perfect was her ball gown
So immaculate was her hair
So eager was Jennifer Lawrence
That she tripped up in mid-stair

But she never let it get to her
She never moaned or cried
And like a Tinseltown trooper
She got up to regain her stride

But alas, chivalry (it seems) is dead
All those hunks knew not what to do
Too late Hugh! You missed miss your cue
Jenny’s determination saw her through

So what did cause her downfall?
What made this day so untoward?
Her Brian Atwood shoes which built her up
In the end did have her floored

So after the slip in 5” heels
The Oscars’ main talking point
Who WOULDN’T chill out in T-Shirt and slacks
And a great big fat ole joint?
